1. Ohoy guys... please write the short story about Rännstensorkestern. What have you released so far? And how would you describe your sound?

RännstensOrkestern was formed 2010 by 4 punks that went in highschool togheter. Rännstensorkestern is in fact the reunion of HunDRunK, witch was active between 2002 and 2007.  

RännstensOrkestern has so far released one EP called III. That EP was released in 2010.

in 2011 we released a single called Vila i frid, and the year after the single Tony 2ton was released and was featured on Turist i tillvaron vol 4. and with this CD our song Mördarn is released!

Hopefully we will get the money we need to release our first full length album this summer. All songs are recorded but we aint got the money needed to finish them yet....

Our sound is like advanced heavy thrashy punk. with a touch of hate. Our music is our feelings so every song is a bit different, but the frustration and aggression is allways there.

2. Is it true that you actually are the best band in the world?

Honestly, yes.


3. How is the scene in the part of Sweden you come from? Do you have anything in Timrå, or do you have to visit Sundsvall for some fun?

The scene is totaly dead. Very sad cus Sundsvall uesed to be punksvall. Now its all long gone. It seems like punk is all forgotten in these shitty towns called sundsvall/timrå. So we have to leave norrland for some fun at all.


4. So what do you think of the Schizo Punk Comp. Vol.1 result? Any cool bands?

We love the cd. Its wonderful to see that there is still fantastic punk around the world and its wunderful to be a part of it.We honestly think its the best record in the world. So far we have all liked M.O.R.A and Razorblade smile. But everything is super as we said before. So i just hope we will heare more from all the bands!


5. What will you do this summer? And do you have any future plans?

To complete our record is the goal of the summer. So we will hustle some homemade booze to get money. Besides that we are going to get shitfaced, and just enjoy the summer. In autum we will get as many livegigs as we can and hopefully wright some new material.

Interview: Los Mas Peores

I don't know too much about the punk scene in Argentina. But one of all bands is Los Mas Peores. They play really good hardcore/crust. It's always fun to find new bands from parts of the world where I don't know much about their local scene. So let me introduce Los Mas Peores, and here is their song on Schizo Punk Comp. 1. Hey, what's up? Please introduce the band and give us a short story of Los Más Peores and also your influences?

Los Mas Peores is a hardcore punk band from the south of Argentina. We've been playing together as Los Mas Peores since April 2012, but Dany (drums) Mauricio (guitars) and me (bene-vocals) have been playing together for 11 years with a previous band that released 6 records and played in many places. We decided to finish that project and start a new one adding Melisa, who plays bass guitar. The name of the band is a word-game which is difficult to translate to English but it may be something like "The most worst ones" and it's an internal joke because we think that we suck. Our influences are quite wide, from crust core bands such as Los Crudos, Migra Violenta, Charles Bronson to more traditional hardcore bands like Terror, 7 seconds, Minor Threat, etc. We all listen to different styles according to our moods but we try to not put much of these influences into our music because we're trying to write and play our own thing.


2. I'm not sure I've heard any punk from Argentina. How is the punk scene, and can you recommend any bands?

Well punk hardcore scene in Argentina is diverse; there are so many bands, genres and sub-genres. Particularly in this part of the country, which is quite far from the main scene which is located in the capital city, Buenos Aires, the common style is Punk Rock (like The Ramones and such) and there is a little bit hardcore and metal around. We belong to a punk-hc scene that supports or at least is aware of political organizations such as socialism and anarchism, we try to send a message to the people and we try to tell people how's living in Argentina with corruption, repression and more. Government is fucked up and they want to fuck you too, so is important for us to talk about those things, like native tribes and people being killed by the government or politics becoming millonaires of stealing money from people and such. There are many bands to recommend: Enquirer, Los Caidos, Gerk Crust, Migra Violenta, Quemacoches, Operativo Exposicion Total and many many more.


3. What do you know about Sweden and the Swedish scene?

Me (Bene) had a friend in Sweden, her name was Sheena and she recommend me some music from there such as The Pain, Mob 47 and Anti Cimex, which I know are quite popular there, but far from there I don't know much, it would be nice to know more about it. With Internet these days is easier to communicate, spread a message, keep in touch with other scenes and that's one of our goals, to exchange and be able to spread our music in any country. Absolut Country from Anti Cimex is a great record.

4. How is a perfect Los Más Peores gig? How many gigs have you done? And have you played outside Argentina anytime?

Well, on friday it will be our 6th gig, we have just started and perfection would it be total crazyness and chaos. We're used to total chaos, like people having lots of fun and participating from the gig, that's one of the things I enjoy the most: giving total permission to people to express and participate from a show. Sadly, right now, people is quite affraid of our crazyness on stage but I think they will become more used in the future when this kind of music becomes aknowledged by people. I know many people from here know us from our previous band, but I think now we're truly unleashed hehehehe. With our previous band we used to play in Chile a lot, we've been invited with Los Mas Peores several times to Chile but work and responsabilities keep getting in the middle, but we will do it eventually.


5. So, what is your future plans?

Our future plans are recording a long-duration record. We have just recorded a demo for ourselves to examine the music and finish the lyrics and we will start recording in July (on winter's break). A part of this demo can be heard here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JeB-HZEl-U
There are two labels interested in editing and releasing our record and we're very happy with this, because for us that's how things should work in a DIY scene, everybody helping everybody. We have a distro that distributes material from many bands and it's available at our gigs and we're very happy that people actually are interested in our music and message. Then we're gonna tour at the end of the year for several provinces and cities, many of the dates are already settled and many people are expecting for us, so we're very excited on how things are turning for us.

Interview: Mindless Violence

Mindless Violence from Skopje in Maccedonia play very good hardcore...

1. Hey hey, let us know the story of Mindless Violence.

Hi, we’re formed in Skopje, Macedonia in 2010 by Marko-vocals, Aleksandar-guitar, Kristijan-drums and Vladimir-bass, but we made some changes in the lineup, so currently the bass player is Stefan. We have one demo and a 7 inch split with Damage from Linköping, Sweden.

2. How is life in Macedonia, and the punk scene as well?

Well, the everyday life in Macedonia is hard. Small country that still is looking to find a place in the European Union and the people are living one day at a time. On the other hand, the punk scene is doing well. We have many great bands, but the sad thing is that we don’t have decent place to do shows. So if we do it in a club, usually the club will have all the profit, not the bands. So the shows usually are made in underground garages.

 
3. Have you done any gigs in former Yugoslavia? Where do you prefer to play then? How would you describe a perfect M.V gig?

Because we are still young band, we only made a show in Belgrade-Serbia, and we are hoping that maybe next year we are going to make a tour around former Yugoslavia. But we still prefer to play in Skopje, because it always harder to play in front of your own crowd. The shows are always filled with positive attitude, no kick boxing and other mixed martial arts. A simple circle pit, sing-along, moshing show.
 

4. What is your lyrics about? How do you write your songs?
The lyrics are about stuff that piss us off, but we also have lyrics that inspired us from some personal experiences. As far as writing songs, if somebody have a new riff or new lyrics we make a song.

5. Any future plans? What will you do this summer?
This summer we are preparing for our new EP release called „Забот на времето“or on English “The Tooth of time”. After that we are going in the studio to record our first LP and maybe a tour around former Yugoslavia.

Interview: 40oz folklore

40oz. folklore was formed back in 2008. And their hardcore is influenced by 80's US/HC and English oldschool punk as well. They contribute on Schizo Punk Compilation Vol.1 with the song Soapbox. Here's the link to that song: 40oz. Folklore – Soapbox

1. Hello, how are you? Who are the members of 40oz Folklore? And please explain the name.
Thanks! Everything is going quite well! We have Jamie Spall on drums, Sloan Stewart on lead guitar, Taylor Russell on 2nd guitar, Joshua Mc Avoy on bass and I'm on vocals. This current line up has been together for 2 years now. Jamie and I are the only original members from the start, 5 years ago in 2008. Taylor joined a few months later. We originally had a different vocalist, at first, and I was the lead guitarist for about the first 8-9 months before I got on vocals. Sloan played in a previous band with Jamie and I called, Tyber Stryke, from 2005 to 2007. He rejoined us in 40oz. Folklore, in 2009, and Joshua joined us in 2011 replacing the original bassist.

The name 40oz. Folklore comes from the fact that we enjoy drinking beer in that size. It is usually one of the most expensive ways to purchase beer in that quantity. We don't have much money so we try to get the most bang for our buck!

2. How would you describe your music? And where do you get your influences from?
I think our music is somewhat of an old school influenced style of hardcore punk with a more modern sound to it. Some of our influences include Chaos UK, Poison Idea, Conflict, GBH, Circle Jerks, Germs. Mainly 1980's Los Angeles hardcore and '82 style UK punk.

 3. How often do you play live? And where do you like most to play?
For the first 4 years we would play at least twice a month. I've been in Los Angeles attending school, so we haven't played in about 10 months. I return to Tennessee in a few weeks and we have our first show, in almost a year, scheduled in August. It will be our 100th live performance and our 5 year anniversary show.

We prefer to play out of town, rather than in our own city. The people in other places seem more receptive to our music than the local people are to us. We are the only hardcore punk band from our town, and the people in our city seem to prefer pop oriented punk bands. Though most of our shows have been in town, it's much better for us when we play in a different city.

4. What have you released so far? Any good critics?
As far as releases, we have one "official" album called "Something's Wrong With This Picture" released during the summer of 2011. Previous to that we have a demo of songs recorded in 2009-2010. We've been on a number of compilation albums, many of them put out by Ungovernable Resistance DIY Radio.

The response to our album has been very good. We've had some really nice reviews from it. Our demo pretty much got trashed by MRR, calling us a dime store oi band, with a bad Tom Waits impression on vocals. I thought that was pretty funny, considering we sound nothing close to oi music! lol!

5. Well, what will happen with the band in the future? Any realistic dreams?
I will be getting back with the band and returning to Tennessee very soon. We plan on recording 3-4 new songs, ASAP, then putting out a split EP with another band, as of yet to be determined. We also have a short 7-10 day tour of the south/east part of the US planned for later this summer. We would like to get out to the UK and Europe in the summer of 2014. That all depends on our financial situation once the time comes and if we'll be able to afford to get over there.

Interview: Spotlicks

Spotlicks from Stockholm, Sweden is one of my favorite bands and their punkrock appeal to me very much. They went out on their second euro-tour this spring 2013 and did a couple of gigs in the UK. 1. I think that everyone who read Schizo Fanzine and Schizo Blog have heard about you, but please write a brief history about Spotlicks
Spotlicks have been together since early 2010. Staffan and Rikke had been fiddling about a few times but it all came together when Elin made her entrance. We hit our spot straight off from the start and have been playing our brand of melodic punk since then with a 7" and a 10" under our belt along with some compilations. Two European tours but we keep yearning for more.
    2. You did a UK tour this spring 2013, what's your best memories from that tour?
The best was to hook up with the wonderful Buiten Gebruik again! Too bad they couldn't play any gigs, we would have loved to see them live again. Apart from that it was great to be in Brighton, London and Leeds and to meet lots of great people. Thanks to everyone involved, really!

3. I know that you are gonna record (or have recorded) a few tracks, what will you do with those tracks?
It totally depends on how well we manage this time as we've gotten more picky and want a Good result before we decide to share it. Possibly there's a new record to come in the end.

4. How many copys have you sold of your 7" and your 10"?
Oh, a couple of hundred at the most.

5. What about the future, any plans?    
The usual: recording and touring. Improve our songs, recordings and concerts. We're putting together a tour package for Sweden in september along with Head-ons, Smash it up and Suicide syndicate. We hope to return to England aswell. If you have any ideas for gigs then please get in touch!

1. Oi! Oi!, what's up? How is the punk scene in Glasgow?
Punk scen in Glasgow is pretty healthy and very underground D.I.Y.

2. Please introduce the band? And the obvious question, Celtic or Rangers?
Well we're a 4 piece Kate on vocals, Roddy on guitar, Shug on bass and Davy on drums. Roddy and Shug are Rangers , Kate is Celtic and Davy is Motherwell.

3. Do you want Scotland to be independent from England?
Yes we would like to see Scotland get independence.

4. Please describe your music and what is your lyrics about?
Our music is Punk rock and our songs are about life and descrimination against the poor.

5. What is your future plans?
Well our future plans are to gig more outside scotland maybe europe some day.
